Hi guys!!! Welcome to new comers!  :adabig:
It seems the Depot gained some new smart ones.

About MP-1 mods, I would agree with Richard and add that the MDRT opens MP-1's sound a lot (but not too much) and removes that "bottom end muddiness" you can get setting bass control a litte high.
Firm and tight now.

About the Quadraverb, I had very good experience using a GT with my MP-1 or other preamps, since in the preamp section it has a very useful noise gate and other nice features, like the compressor, bass boost, flat/bright switch (I would not use it as a preamp, of course...).
After that, it has exactly the same features, configurations, overall quality and behaviors of the standard unit.

The Plus version has some added features/effects over the standard unit (tremolo, tap delay...), but not a preamp section and no noise gate....and today people attempts to sell it at unreasonably high prices.

You can read the Plus addendum manual here:

QV PLUS MANUAL

and upgrade a standard QV with one of these EPROMs:

QV PLUS EPROM

But I would go for a GT, that is for sure one of the old-school rack fx units I would recommend with an MP-1 yet today.

I used to have 2 GT units (since I used different preamps), but now I kept just the MP-1 and I'm selling one of those Quadraverbs (I'll keep the other one, where a friend o' mine is doing some refurbishment and modifications).

I appreciate that. Plenty of QVs in my area, just need to save up the funds at the moment. Saves me shipping and changing out the plug. I prefer to hunt local if I can for these kinds of things.

How much are they asking for a QV there?
Makes sense to hunt locally.

I've seen them in the $100 to $200 range depending on model.

Quite fair price, today.
