Yes, it's a great demo of the software itself, and it would be the cheaters way of recording the MP-1 if like us, we already own it.
For someone who never had the good fortune to play through an actual MP-1, or any other ADA gear for that matter, it would be a good way to get an idea what it sounds like and how easy it is to use.

Yes I feel that it would in no way be the same experience, I say it might wet your appetite but you have to dive into it and play the MP- for yourself and feel the response because it moves in your hands and under neath your fingers when you play which no modeling software is going to do.

And I know there are so many people that have jumped on the Kemper modeling thing and even the Fractal MP- 1 patches but it really is not the same. If you have played any of the real amps and are familiar with the way they response it is not the same thing! Yeah I know close enough for some people but to me there is always something sterile or unnaturally compressed that many younger players that have never played through the original equipment or have not spent a lot of time on it will think it's the same thing, bt it's not.

For me personally I'll pass on all of this plugin and modeling business - but I'm not hating, just not for me.

EXACTLY ^^^^

I own one piece of modeling gear - ONE. It's a Wah, with wah models inside. It has some dirt boxes (aka distortion/overdrive) but I don't use them....that's what the AMP does. I have never felt great about the modeling stuff, and I've tried them all (so far).

Playing with guys that bring a 'modeling rig' make me smile. I enjoy taking their lunch money and kicking sand in their face - hahaha

Modeling gear sounds good in my headphones, but never really did anything for me in a live situation.

Great demo, go Leon :thumb-up: , it certainly made me want to get one of my MP-1s working.  And as a plug in to record with, it seemed pretty good (not that I've futzed with other modelling stuff).  I was a little underwhelmed with the clean compared to the real thing, and he didn't dwell there....  I wonder how this stuff goes if you plug it through a live rig with decent volume, e.g. does it feed back like tubes do???  As DJC says, you feel it in all sorts of ways when you play MP-1 live and loud.  Then again, is that this plug ins purpose?  or just to have as another (very good) tone tool in you studio setup?

Not true

You own and use a GX700   You just don't use the amo modelling.

Personally began with modelling gear, but I never ever tried to get a specific piece of equipment sound.  I just tried to get a sound I liked.  If I am honest I had a good run with the Boss GT stuff, but weirdly I went in reverse as the one I used the most was the GT5.  Even recorded our first 7" single using an amp model and then boosted with it's analogue drive sections.

As for this MP1 plug in.  I'd use if it I didn't own 3 MP1s.  I couldn't possibly say if it was like the real thing or not unless I tried it but I don't have a need for it so I wont bother.

If others get some use out of it then hell yeah use it, but I tend to switch of when I see something claiming to be the same as something because usually it just isn't even if it sounds good.

I'm checking it out now. Do you guys think it has too much gain? Maybe they modelled a modded MP-1?

No the stock MP-1 has a lot of gain by itself but it can be perceived that way since you're going into you DAW and desk top monitors.
That plug in I found a bit buzzy which can make you think it has more gain than it does. :-)

Well, being an MP1 hopeless addicted, I still own my real MP1 and the Nembrini plug-in and I've to say that with the Nembrini you can easily dial some very realistic MP1 tones.
That's equal to the original and real MP1? No, of course.
But it's a very, very good approximation...and it allows you to use your MP1 tones with headphones late in the night, avoiding to be arrested or thrown out the window by your wife.
The good, old Leon made a very nice demo on YouTube.
I hope we'll see that guy around here again.

Hey Max, haven't heard from you for a while  .  You do know you can use the MP-1 headphone out for those late at night sessions.  You can also use it as the input to your digital recording setup as it acts a bit like a cab sim.
I also like Leons demos, as Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo) said, no one attacks a guitar like an Australian...

Ciao Rich!
Good to see you again, mate!
I've been away for a while, busy at work, busy at home, busy everywhere.
But it was time to come back!

About MP-1 phones out, I know it's there and it works fine...but the rack is heavy, totally wired and far from my desk...so it's not that easy.
Furthermore, if I use that phones out, I'll bypass all the fx units!  :banana-skipping-rope-smiley-e

I left a comment to Leon on his YT Channel and said it would be nice to see him here again, from time to time.
Let's see...
Oh, I quoted your statement in my comment: "no one attacks a guitar like an Australian!"

I won't argue that at all. I'm also a fan of James Ryan. I like is style of approaching the guitar. :thumb-up:
