Does any if you guys still use MIDI with alongside the connections mentioned above?

Yes, we use MIDI for program changes and with the MP2 and MB1 I use MIDI CC for the expression pedal assigned to stereo master volume.  Kims diagrams are showing different ways of patching the audio.  MikeB uses MIDI CC for controlling a few different things in his GMaj2.  Some people use the MIDI mapping in the MP1/2 (so you use the preamps MIDI out rather than MIDI Thru).  Though I think generally people do the MIDI mapping changes in the Fx unit.
