The Fuzz I don't want

My Classic is giving me the fuzz. I don't know how else to explain it except that it sounds like I'm using a fuzz pedal instead of an overdrive or distortion. I tried different tubes, very different ones in each section, nothing. Still fuzzy.

What gives? Can I figure this out with my handy tester I don't know how to use? haha
