MP-1 Versions 1.38, 2.0, 2.1 etc.: What are the differences?

Just curious if anyone can explain the differences between all the soft chip versions of the MP-1?

mostly MIDI improvements/midi upgrades ...

not aware of any analog/sound diff's, if there are I would love to see technical proof ...    >:D
