Aaaaaannnnnndddddd....we're done.

We have moved the Depot to a new hosting server, one that will hopefully run smoother and allow people to register again....we'll see. Either way, I'm glad to have it where I can service the site better.

Enjoy!!

Okay, after a bit of troubleshooting...I think we're good! We had a couple issues, but I gotta say, Hostgator support pulled this off for me. I paid a nominal fee and they fixed whatever I found broken.

First issue: Forum was up and running within about 2 hours (incredible!) but it looked all wonky and wasn't linking to the database correctly.
Second issue: Forum was looking good now - just a path issue - and I started pawing through posts. I found out I couldn't attach any images, so I hit up Support again

Fixed! Another path issue i hadn't checked yet.

Just let me know if you notice any weirdness & I'll look into it!

Good job!  I do believe that the Log In Errors (http://adadepot.com/index.php?topic=1496.0) issue I was experiencing is also fixed.  I'll test a few more times and confirm....

EDIT:  Works great!

Bump: I'm automatically logged in when I fire up my browser - that never worked, but it works now. Who knew?

I'm still too chicken to try upgrading the whole forum just yet....

Hey Dante, interesting.  IIRC it's always worked like that for MJMP.  And it' also worked for me when (on the vary rare occasions) I forgot to log out at the end of a session.

Never had problems with auto login. But I don't seem to get emails anymore?

Agreed, that is interesting.
I never log out of the Forum, so I'm in every time I click on the link.
I'm curious about "updating" the Forum? I've never even thought about that, but I don't see anything that gives me that option either.

I'm getting emails without asking for them

The important emails are the Need Help ones which I don't get.
@MJMP, that's strange, you used to always get them, even when I don't  :dunno:
@ Harley, we are on an old code stream for the forum SMF 2.0.19 and I have updated it to the last (xx.19) that I can.  To move forward we need to update to the new stream (2.1.x), which is now up to 2.1.3 but it requires us/Dante to rebuild it with the new 2.1.x code base.  And my hope/prediction is a rebuild will fix a bunch of issues we still have from the past, email being one of them.
