Trumps Tariffs

Obviously it's early days but I wonder how all these tariffs are going to affect the stuff we all buy.  Not in a good way I suspect, particularly with the complicated supply chains involved.

Seems 70 countries are requesting to lick Trumps arse (which seems what it's mostly about).  We'll all no doubt suffer, depending what country we live in, but I suspect US residents will be the worst affected as they are the people who'll have to pay more for everything imported, starting with aluminium cans

We're all bracing for the sh*t storm we know is coming. We're already feeling the squeeze at the supermarket checkout counters, and it's going to get a lot worse since we do so much importing from China as it is.

Things at work have been dreadfully slow for the past few months and slowing down even more. My company is scheduled to move in at our new building in May or June. I'm wondering if we move in just in time to lock the doors. We manufacture a small percentage of what we build, but the majority of the components we get come from all over Asia, including China. There are a lot of other corporations in the same situation as us, and you can bet that this is the topic at every management board meeting across the country.

Everything that idiot is doing in Washington, has already been done, and it ended up worsening the Great Depression which inadvertently led into WW2. Look up the Smoot-Hawley Act of 1930. History is repeating itself.

No one will ever hear me refer to the a$$hole in the White House by the title given someone who has won the election to his office. He's nothing more than a spoiled rich kid punk who never earned anything in his life.

He has no f***ing idea what he's doing, and now he's finding out he can manipulate the markets by simply putting tariffs on and off again....him and his buddies are going to get very rich this way, mark my words
