Noise clamping mod?

Apologies if this has been discussed.

Anyone know what this is about?

That thing is dead quiet after the mod.

This is the guy that posted a few very short and badly filmed videos on YouTube some years ago claiming he improved the MP-1 transformer design surpassing the quality of MDTR. Too bad he didn't follow with his claims and hasn't posted anything about it since.

However, this "noise clamping mod" seems actually, cool. I wrote to him at an address I found on some message board a couple of months ago but got no reply. I don't remember if I wrote to him on FB, too.

Mmm fosnot, he used to be a member here until the admins kicked him out. A lot of talk and BS but that's it.
The MP-1 is a preamp and preamps will always be noisy, you can tame the noise down a bit but you can never get rid of it.

LOL!  What a pain in the ass he must've been to be kicked out of this board where it's all about getting best ideas and solving problems!
