Has anyone else noticed that there is a difference in sound when you have a panel off?

Or even just loosely put on, not screwed down?

Must be all that Wi-Fi and whatnot.

There is a harsh quality.

With all the modding I've been doing, I get lazy about the panels, but it interferes with proper tone evaluation.

PSA: the circuit boards are enclosed in a metal box for a reason. If you change anything inside, tube or op-amp or whatever, screw down the panels with at least 3 screws before evaluating.

Hey Kaz, no I haven't noticed that behaviour, but then I tend to put the panels back after I do anything.  It makes some sense that they keep stuff out.
