I finished the last of three basses that were started with Covid lockdowns.
Always wanted a Rickenbacker (for sound and looks) but didn't like the real ones to play and pay for (ouch, they're boutique expensive for 'simple' factory bassses).
So I build me one ;D, meet Ricky

Awesome Peter, what a fantastic bass :whoohoo!: :thumb-up: :metal: . At least something good to come out of the COVD situation.

"Bassenbakker" I love it :thumb-up:
That looks like the kind of wood selection you'll never see from Rick.
Very nice work Peter

Whow!! Nice looking axe, my man, very very nice. You should think about selling your wares. I can see people paying good money for your custom builds :thumb-up:

I do not want to turn this into a job though, I work enough hours at my regular job as it is O:-)
I do build for friends (at cost price), the rest will just have to watch in envy >:D

Thanks :D
No paint involved though, just the A-grade quilted maple, blue stain (no stain for pickguard & trussrod cover) and clear lacquer.
The wood does all that work O0
