It's nearly the sound I was looking for!  :thumb-up:

I've tried to record the "Pull Me Under" riff... just as an sound example... please don't judge my bad skills  :-[

Hey FoneBone, just listening the tracks, cool you guys cook.
You could use a little extra cut (pres 6khz IMHO) (I'm listening to very compressed tracks here BTW but through decent monitors). Bass sounds great in spoons (but also could use some sparkle (2k, 6k, 10k ?) also recommend he listens to Gary Thain Uriah Heap live, 70's tones but great playing and right up his alley), not so good in Fallen.  I'm listening as I type this so my appreciation is developing... crap nice ending to Fallen..  Hey more tracks... vocals too loud and need more FX/verb and sparkle (18khz).
Apart from vox too loud last track was good (to me).
Ok Ballad again vox (way) to loud.... More Guitar !!!! this one is good otherwise great rhythm track, ok lead seems ok, guitar rhythm is to soft and vocals way to dominant.
Anyway that's my take so far, the alive cover/derivative is interesting, listening .

Great Playing BTW, but I recon your sound needs more cut Pres (6khz) and a touch treb maybe that's what I'd do, but enjoyed the songs, great band, other post was mostly the sound/audio engineer in me.
Listening to the later tracks, they sound very good but vox way too loud comparatively (guit cooking BTW  :thumb-up: ) and rhythm section (your lucky... they're great) But is mono from sound cloud ?

Hey rnolan,

thanks for your "review". I guess we had needed (bad english?) your suggestions 10 years or more ago. The band has split up in 2006 and I decided to be more a father than a musician. Now, as the kids grew up, I've found more time to play guitar again, bought this "new" equipment and try my best! But thx at all!!! ;)

Hey, nothing wrong with being a father  :thumb-up: , same happened to me and I'm playing a bit/lot more now she's older.. similar path I suspect ? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIr9nZ4aJfo) this is me pre child, MP1 live (in a warehouse), I play most rhythm floaty stuff, and 3rd solo. (BTW I've never heard the original song, bass player/singer (Bazz) said Gm blues, away we go)

Very cool!!! :thumb-up: In my pre-child times I played an Line6 HD147 (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLudFZ2WQSAXFitaunVVEdTOLYW8TJ4jOL) ... when my first kid was born I decided to sell all my stuff ... now my 2nd kid will turn three and I bought the MP-1 somewhere in 2013 ... cause I felt 'a little naked' without the possibility to play my guitars through an amp...
I hope, I will find more time to get back into music, and maybe to find some people for making music again!!!
I always played the rhythm guitar, some hook-lines or main-riffs, almost never the solos... and I've sang the backing vocals ;)

Absolutely  :thumb-up: , I put a song up for the Jurrie jam (http://adadepot.com/index.php?topic=451.0), Peter can send you a version to play to and Zilthy has put up a link to a .mp3 of the song (little memory, MP2 cab sims direct). Have a listen.
But also happy to jam on anything else  :thumb-up:

Happy to help,  :thumb-up: I'm pretty new to how to make it happen over the internet.. I'm used to being in the same room..
So I put up a song of mine (Zilthy did this bit http://crystalcrayon.com/ada/Little_Memory_Extra.mp3) for people to jam to. Peter H Boar has the tracks now and can send you a mix with bits removed, or (I think) you can just record a wave (.wav) of your guit bits and he'll mix it in with the other tracks.
Are you able to record you guit ?
So you have a MP1, best way to record and not annoy anyone is ADA MCS2 or MCS3 cab sim (http://www.adaamps.com/Products/ada-GCS/GCS.htm) in MP1 loop (turn loop "on" balance gain (overall vol stays the same with loop in/out)), now when you are on that patch with loop on the signal is "cab simmed" and you cab plug the MP1 out a/b into L/R line inputs of your sound card or I/O device and then record it.  To play along with the track you can use Audacity (Free) or other programs.

I don't have a GCS-2 or 3, nor any other DI box... but I have an Apogee Jam interface. It has an built-in preamp. So do you think it's possible to connect the MP-1 with it?
While recording: is it okay to use any other effects like delay, phaser, flanger?

Hey FoneBone, looking at the Jam, it's designed to take a guitar (instrument (milli volt) level) signal, you could try MP1 output into it (turn down output volume) and use the Jam level wheel (turn down).  Older MP1s have a slide switch on the top which switches the MP1 output between line and instrument level, if you have one of them, switch it to instrument level.  While this may work, I've no idea how it will sound, the Jam is going to try to turn it into distorted sound as it's expecting clean milli volt guitar signal. Does the Jam have a control interface/app on the apple device ? If so pick a clean flat sound
Regarding FX for recording, there are 2 main options, record with FX on "wet" (once recorded you can't change them so you have to get them just right) or record without FX "dry" and add them later in the mix, then you can change them until your happy.

Ok, I just bought a GCS-2 and will get it in the middle of the next week. And I bought some other stuff :D an Intellifex Online and a BBE Sonic Maximizer 422A. Any idea how to connect them the best way? Effect Loop, in front of the preamp, between pre- and poweramp, Intellifex in front of BBE or vice versa?
Thanks for your help!  :thumb-up:
