Best poweramp I've ever had/owned/tried was the VHT 2502.  Awesome power amp.  Plenty of volume.. and punch, especially when turned loud.

Other good poweramps were:
- Carvin T100.  Loud, Great punch.
- Peavey 60/60 (wasnt as loud as a 60watts should be).  Great punch and tight sounding
- ADA MicroTube 200.  Loud and clean, could use an EQ between the MP-1 and the Poweramp to add some low end and presence.
- Rocktron Velocity 300.  Good poweramp. very clean and tight.

Overall honestly, the MP-1 i always found to respond better with a Tube Poweramp.  Turning up the Power amp distors the Power Tubes in a way the MP-1 benefits from by adding more "Chug" and tightness.

Cheers

Having tried both (and I agree the MP1/2 sound great with tube power amps), the B200s is my favourite (like not there, except for volume...), that said, I'm really liking my new(ish) Carvin TS100 all tube 50/50

I hear great things about the 50/50 Mesa as well...
       :metal:

Used both MP-1 and MP-2 through Mesa 2/50, great sound
Also used Mesa 20/20, more mid range and bark, different tone, works well also

Used it through 20watt Riviera head as well, no loops in the amp, but takes pedal in the front end very well.

Just have to know the tone you are looking for and go from there, you want that Marshall tone, then get a Marshall amp, want more heavy and metal sounding (darker sound) then go with a Mesa 2/50 or 2/90.

All depends want you want.

Lots of stuff to carry around if doing a gig all the time, but if you can do it, well worth it....

What about the Advance TA'70 (or 100)?
Read a lot of good comments on it but never had the possibility to try one

I've always gone for very clean transparent power amp and let the MP1/2 make the tone.  Yes you can add power amp influence, but IMHO you don't need to with ADA.  Hey but whatever gets the tone you want.  But your then heading back to all in one head territory (albeit mono)

Does anyone have any experience with Peavey PV 260 power amps? I just got one and know nothing about it yet. Thanks!

Looks like a nice amp, good features for PA (crossover, low cut, binding posts etc).  But 550 w per channel into 8 ohms (1100 w) so be (very) careful you don't blow speakers (apart from that it should be perfect).  But as I said this is a PA amp with lots of grunt and lots of potential to send your speaker cones across the room.  So don't turn it up past say 10 o'clock. Also if it can handle 16 ohm speakers that will cut the power output a bit ~ 450 w ish ?
