I use  a Marshall Valvestate 8008 solid state power amp.
But with settings for a standard E tuned guitar I have turn the mid treble and presence in negative to let it sound to harsh.
With D sharp tuning it's ok.
Got poweramp setting on Linear instead of Valvestate.
Using a Laney IRT 212

I won't help you much but I used 8008 for a couple of years and have never experienced this. It's an excellent power amp and I sometimes wish I hadn't sold it - it was powerful and lightweight. I really like it.
