Yeah, just drill out the old rivets, fit the new latch part to catch, drill new holes, attach the latch, rivet, and latch the catch ;)

Yeah I didn't realise until I looked into it!  Literally £5.99 gets me the tool and rivets, and this video explaining what Richard suggested basically steps me through what I need to do.  I'll order the latch this week and the tool and get riveting.  Hopefully my drill can drill out the old latch.
