Op amp replacement in MP-2
« on: Time Format »

Hi guys, question for you. I'm assuming replacing the stock (old) op amp in the MP-2 will help with noise and probably upgrade the quality of the unit. The current op amps in it are LF347N. It appears there are two. On the schematics sheet they are U508 and U622.

Is there anything better than the LF347N that I can replace these with, and should I replace both op amps if I do?

Thanks!   :D

I think the MP-2 has a lot more opamps, are you talking about the mp-1?

As far as the LF347N omp amps in those two spots they where the ones I read some where about replacing. Definitely the MP-2 and not the MP-1.

There are two Burr Brown op amps also that are soldered to the board but those aren't the ones I'm talking about. I'm leaving the Burr Brown ones in.
