Hey R you ask you get Knowing Me Knowing You metal version  >:D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBOg_g6BxOo

Well when i grew up in the 70's Abba was a lot on the radio at my parents place and altough I'm a metal head i really like Abba, always did. They are very good musicians and those girls can really sing. It's pop but not the typical pop IMO,they have a high degree of musicality and those 2 voices did complement each other very well.

Also the mixing of their albums was top notch for being the 70's.

Anyway my favorite  Abba song is Dancing Queen.

I agree with you MJMP, in fact I'll go as far as saying all pop music was better years ago.  I hate to be stuck in the past but guys like Duran Duran for example can really f**king play.  I'd say pop declined steadily since the 90's until now.  Ultimately I don't give a shit but when I find that I can enjoy older pop music and yet I despise what I hear from those X factor bullshit shows and other shit like One Direction.  Its f**king sad state of affairs modern pop music.  But then what do I know???

Abba were good musicians for sure no doubt.  I just don't get out of bed in the morning to listen to them.  But I do for Judas Priest, Accept and Mercyful Fate hahahah

it is pure novelty but the fact the song is a good to begin with makes it really work.  I think the singing is pretty good also.  Not to sure about the super low bass guitar.  Sounds like a 5 string being played in there or really down tuned.

Anyways epic album addition time

Portrait - Crossroads (I toured with these guys + we became really good friends too)

Can't Look Away is an amazing album, a great listen on sooo many levels... Not to mention all the great things he did with Yes, while I like Steve Howe (particularity Close to the Edge) TR made them so much more rocky.. I had heard TR was an MP2 user, but a youtube clip/interview I watched he was using some ibenez thing ??
