Tony Iommi Sig Humbuckers
« on: Time Format »

Starting a custom project: a Black Sabbath inspired BC Rich Virgo with ebony fret board, red iron cross fret markers and a full scalloped neck 25.5 neck. Red quilt top veneer with blacked out sides and a Floyd Rose series 1000 locking trem. and Tony Iommi Sig humbuckers. Now my question is: Does anyone use Tony Iommi Sig humbuckers? If so do you use one in bridge and one in neck or do you put something like a normal Gibson P90 at neck? If not what is your configuration?

I haven't come across the Iommi PUs, After a few options (SD JB bridge, SD Alnico neck, ok but nothing special) I settled on Gibson 57 re-issues in my SG. Not the hottest output but great sounding PUs. Tried one in the bridge, liked it allot so put one in the neck also.  I have a 59 re-issue in the JPLP neck, it's also very nice. It has a Page burst bucker in the bridge, it's ok, I prefer the 57 and 59 re-issues.
