FS: EMG humbuckers
« on: Time Format »

I have a pair of EMG humbuckers available for sale.  These are the 2nd Gen style with "quick connects" on the back that allows you to change out pickups in only a few minutes with no soldering required once the guitar is set up for that.  (The latest 3rd Gen style has a central buss board to connect to) These pickups are in Excellent Condition, and include a 25k volume pot, main wiring, battery clip, and output jack if buying the pair.  (I only have one set of wiring for each pair of pups) Extra wiring sets can be purchased from EMG if needed.

EMG-81  x1   INFO
EMG-57   x1  INFO

These pups go for $100+ each new, but these are here for a screaming deal.
Make an offer!   Let's call the shipping to be $10 anywhere in the US.  Will get an actual quote for everywhere else.

Hey Kim!

Longshot, but do you still have that 57?

Any interest in trading for a 60?

Still have it.  I'm using Dimarzio pups now, so I'm not interested in trade for other EMGs.

Well, if it weren't for SC I'd probably still have EMGs in my guitars.

EMGs were 99% of all I ever had and 99% of all I ever knew about pickups.   I hate it when others say "they suck" and "EMGs worst pickups ever" etc.  because they're not.  They're just not everyone's cup of tea and that's all good.
But I found that either
A: my tastes changed,
B: I became bored with EMGs, or
C: both.

But trying those Dimarzios I bought from SC on a whim really helped.  I'm not good at explaining some detailed things like "tone" and "feel" and "detail" but there are things going on with those that I heard and felt, but didn't get from my EMGs.

Adam, if you want the 57 I'm still entertaining offers....just not for another EMG pickup.  Doesn't even have to be another pickup....

When do you go to Japan? Or was I just wrong thinking you were in Germany?
