Not that I know much about Line 6 stuff, but didn't they used to be Zoom ?, pretty compressed and processed ?  Tom Schultz did this well/better IMHO with the rockman stuff, but analogue.  All sounds great in the bedroom.. Although I've used the rockman live (before my ADA(s)), very compressed but worked...albeit a bit hard to get on top in the mix (so compressed, no dynamics, killer sound though)
So are you guys preferring the roland/line 6 etc chorus to the native MP1/2 chorus ???

Preferring?  Hell no!  I just don't own the MP-1 anymore and there doesn't seem to be a dedicated chorus unit out there short of $1200+ boutique stuff like the Fulltone TERC and the Shiva Wave, both which are clones of the CS-5 Tri-Stereo Chorus.  (Whoops!  Just saw the earlier post!)

I like my Line 6 Filter Pro a lot, but have reservations about the Mod Pro...

Guess I'm gonna save up for the Shiva Wave, or convince Buck Waller to build me one!!!!!

Hell yeha! with mono/stereo ins and outs and instrument/line level select you could put it in between most setups!

The design of the mp-1 chorus is made for line levels.

Could be done with some modifications.

Really?  That would be awesome!

Just curious... to do that and give it the same in/out configurations as the Shiva Wave:
one 1/4" in, one XLR in, two 1/4" outs, two XLR outs
Rate
Depth
Maybe wet/dry?
In a rack housing?

How much would something like that cost?

Well i think it would be cheaper if you try to find a ADA STD-1,great chorus, and some models came with both XLR and TRS in and outs.Problem is you need to find one,but this is the most ingenius analog chorus i ever heard.BTW i own one so i know.
