Title: Antares Auto Tune Guitar Build
Post by: GuitarBuilder on March 28, 2017, 07:42:20 PM
I used a Warmoth roasted Swamp Ash body with Maple neck. The installation was tricky - don't attempt this unless you have some luthier and woodworking skills!
I still have to work out the power source; my original plan to use the Fishman Fluence battery failed, so I need to add a battery box instead. Otherwise, it works fine; it's nice to have the two encoders on the guitar so I don't have to mess with fret control!

Sounds great!  The two encoders greatly improve on the AT-200.

Nice Strat! Neat workmanship too :thumb-up:

I've been trying to order a couple of those RMC Head Cases, but not getting any replies from the guy :dunno:

Thanks, Harley!

Unfortunately something happened a few years ago to cause Vince to close up the RMC shop.  Every once in a while he sells off something on eBay; his member ID is Rox-man.  You might get lucky monitoring his sales.

I may be selling my 7U RMC in the near future (consolidating into the 5U case), so PM me if you'd be interested in that one.

Thanks for the heads-up! Actually, I was hopeful for a pair of 5U cases for my half-stack rigs.

Update:

     Hey GuitarBuilder,

I sent Vince an email directly, and got a reply immediately. Apparently, he is still in business, and has orders at the present time. It's just his web page that is messed up, and the online order form doesn't work.
What we are looking at now is to see if he can find Ozite material like what is on my ADA Split-Stack cabs, to be able to match the heads with them. If not, then I'll just go with the black Tolex standard covering. That looks good too.
