Try just Tube Board Mods of the 3.666. By not.doing the Eq changes you'll get the high gain your looking for and retain the original sound of your Mp1. I'm still testing My High Gain mod. I've never liked the sound of the Mod 3,3.1 or the Stock gain mod.

Godde Changing a few resistors on Mod 4 obviously for gain would be an easy Update to post. I tried to Mod 4 and didn't really just not for my taste but when I started swapping a few resistors it got better for my taste. But a Mod 4 Mark 3 for added gain would be easy and I can help.

Basically the 470k's,Changing the 20k.input Trimpot to 50k or higher. A few simple things.

Today I finished my MOD3.666. The amp now sounds awesome. But I think I have to replace the two trimpots for MID-SCOOP and BASS-BURST. Bought the wrong ones. Here are some pics:

Now I've changed the trimpots... much better by the way!



But I've got a little problem: While setting up T2, the OD1-LED never ever lit up? I've checked the LED with a battery (while the amp was off!!!) and it worked! I've tested it with all of my three guitars. Any idea what's the problem???
OD2 lit up while playing the palm mutes with the Ibanez Jem  :metal:

Do you have OD1 and OD2 leds or input and OD1?

I have OD1 OD2 Master and EQ LEDs... guess it's one of the old units.

Yep that is an old unit so in your case OD2 needs to lit up.
