Hi DjC, I have to ask, as you have been able to pick up a few mp1's how much are they selling for over there because where I've looked the prices have been crazy.

I paid mine 190 euros, shipment included.
And it's almost perfect, untouched, unchanged, unmodified, unscratched and 100% original.
Average price here (Italy) is around 200-250 euros, depending on seller...but, if you've some patience, you can pay less.
More than this is not convenient.
Someone is asking 500 euros for a MP-1 or MP-1 Classic and almost 300 euros for a MP-2, but they're crazy and those units remain on sale forever.
The guy I'm going to buy the ADA B200s from, is selling a modified MP-1 Ultra+ (MJMP made the job!) for 400 euros...and it's a reasonable price for that...but it has a lot more inside now...

We have been getting them from $299.00 to $430.00 including shipping. They are kind of all over the map price wise and the higher price DOES NOT mean better quality or condition! We bought one call "Rusty" because every screw on the outside and inside are rusted! Look at the pic I attached :o
I'm not sure what that component is to the left of the 1st tube but it is covered in rust! ( looks like a tarantula with fangs LOL! )
The unit seems to work ok but this was sold as "Great Condition", which yeah it plays wells but I'm wondering what could go out in the future due to the rust issues?? :???:
Hey DjC, Yeah I don't know what the fangs are all about, I'll still keep looking for another one. Hi Iperfungus, is the modded mp1 online and is there a link for it?

Yes! :banana-upsidedown:

Are you interested? Where are you from?
I'm in touch with this guy, since I'm buying a B200s power amp from him in these days.
Let me know if I can be of any help.
He also has a non working MP-1 and MP-2 that he would sell for spare parts in the future.
I just looked at the cost in Australian dollars, more than I can afford right now unfortunately. That's not including the cost to ship it to Australia.

Yep.
I'm also not sure he would ship to Australia...
By the way, if you'll change your mind, let me know...I can ask him...maybe also for a little discount, who knows? :banana-jazz-smiley-emoticon:
I might be interested in those broken MP-1 and MP-2 units.

Some first info...
The MP-1 is a stock unit with MIDI issues...he would ask 350 euros, but he's not sure if he will sell it because the tone is awesome. ;D
A little too much, by the way...IMHO...
The MP-2 he doesn't remember the issues but he will check in the next days and let us know.
He could ask 180 euros + shipment.
Wow these prices are a bit high for me.
I paid $275 yesterday for MP1 and MC1 in great condition with original non coffee stained manuals.
A good deal if it all works well :thumb-up: :whoohoo!:

It certainly does! It came from the original owner of 27 years.
Excellent, good score :thumb-up:
The prices actually disgustme although my last one I got for an acceptable amount £169 including postage, and the one before that I got for a good price also after I got it brought in from the states and benefitted from the exchange rate.
The most I paid for one was the 3tm it was like £300 or more.
well I paid $300 for one and $200 for the other for the $300 it also came with a MC1.
How long ago was this?
Also they go cheaper in the states, try buying one over in Europe. $200 is £157 right now so you got your MP1's cheaper than I did.
I seem to recal the unit I got from America was around $120 though I can't remember, shipping bumped that up further.

Just the last few weeks. Best deal I ever got on one was $100 from a pawn shop.
Years ago I bought 4 MP-1's for 300$ shipping included ! Won't come across a deal like that again.
