Just saw this one:
Mesa Boogie Mark Five: 25 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcuF5n9f-Hk)
....got serious GAS now!!! 8) 8) 8)

OMG, a "little brother" for my Mark-IV. I've GOT to get one......
-
I´ll check one out at Music Store Cologne as soon as it´s avlbl.....MSRP in the US is 1299$, so I guess it´s gonna be around 1350€ over here
-
I will likely sell off the rest of my rack gear to fund this one......anybody want an MP-2, Classic 60/60? :banana-upsidedown:
I can't turn my Mark-IV master above 1.5 before starting to kill wildlife, so this will be a breath of fresh air.
-
Exactly! My Mesa 2/90 is way over kill lol
-
That is one nice sounding head! That may turn me onto Mesa for once. But still can't bring myself to spend even that much on an amp. Yikes.
-
Join the Darkside brother. Once you use a Mesa,VHT/Fryette,Soldano or Engl power amp section you'll never look back.
-
I need to try out their power amps, but I can't come across one to try out. The 2:90 is overkill for me right now though. Although I have never been too keen on their preamp sections, at least outside of the MKII C and MKIV pre sections. It's already bad enough that my favorite sounding Mesa that I have come across other than the pricey MKV is the Nomad...and everyone hates the Nomad... :dunno:

If your MP2 is a 240v model I'm very interested, I'm also on the lookout for a MXC and associated pedals or even just the CC pedals.
-
Hey DavM,
you anywhere near Cologne?? Would be fun to meet and check it out together once it hits the music store?!!
-
The MP-2 is 110v, and I use a step-down transformer here in Europe. The Peavey Classic 60/60 is also 110v.
SC, I live about 1.5 hours from Cologne, so we could certainly meet up at Musicstore to try out the Mini Mark. Let me know.....
-
Dave,
I'll definitely do that! As soon as it's avlbl there I'll get in touch with you. Gonna be fun :thumb-up:

The Mark Five:25 is announced for Germany in early November....
But the price tag ...   1750€!!!
That's roughly 1000US$ more than the US MSRP......
I´m already doing the calc bout getting one in the US
-
Seems like you pay the Germany tax like we pay the Australia tax, things are typically 40% more here than elsewhere. May be a nice amp but that's a big spend (then boogies have never been cheep, well not here anyway)

Teaser.......

I have to agree that that thing sounds great! I actually preffered the crunch settings (and I think JP did too).
