Manual Says to flip it up if not running to an amp which I'm not just to an interface and out to monitors?  I do not see a switch to flip.
Does the MPC go into the midi out/in or thru

Thanks guys sorry for having so many questions.

Hey no worries, we like questions  :thumb-up: and we like to help.
The early MP1s had a slide switch on the top (kind of in the centre) to change the A/B outputs from instrument level (> guitar amp input) to line level (everything else, poweramp, PC interface (depending on interface)) (so inst lv = millivolts, line lv = volts). These units also have it written on the back plate (which may have faded a bit ?).
If you don't have the switch, then you have a later (and younger) version MP1 and you should refer to the later manual, another mod was the back input initially was line level, then they changed to inst level.

The MPC goes to the midi in jack.

Thanks MJMP, missed that one  and there's a socket on the back near the midi in for the power supply for the MPC so you can use a/the 7 pin midi lead to remote power it. And unless you are doing complicated midi patch set the midi channel on the MP1 to "ALL"
