Well Iperfungus I have been watching this thread about your rig and you guys have me really curious about the B200 for my second rack.

Danny, you've to find a B200s!!!   :banana-dance:

It's a perfect match with the MP-1.
They could have minor issues, but you can easily fix them in case.

It's a reliable stereo power amp, dead silent, very transparent, powerful and rich sounding.

Yep found two of them and they are not expensive at all ( $200 and less ). Having MP-1 issues at the moment though before I jump into that but I have heard all the positive comments on them so we'll check them out soon!

Now we can call this thread JOB DONE!

The rack is complete and I'm deep in "tubes rolling tunnel".

Fine tuned chorus, OD1 and OD2 trimpots.
Also started working with GMaj EQ after the Noise Gate...wow...
Awesome.

In short times it will go to MJMP...

The B200s is ok too, but I will post about it in the right topic.  :headbanger:
Great amp!!!

Hey Iperfungus just checking in with you - how the new rig going and how is your MP-1 holding up Buddy?  :D

Hi Danny!

Well....it's going fine so far!
I've understood/learned more about my B200s (thanks rnolan and MJMP: you guys ROCK!) and found a couple of "minor issues" I'll fix (new pots and new jack connectors are needed), but that's a great power amp and a perfect match with the MP-1: as rnolan reminds us, it has been designed for the MP-1!

The preamp itself is still ok: I've done some tubes rolling and found the best match for me at the moment (a TAD 7025 in V1 and an original 12AX7A in V2...awesome tones...).
I'm going to test some more tubes there in the near future.  :banana-rock:
By the way, I'll send the MP-1 to MJMP for some service and mods: it worth.

OK great to hear! I'm anxious to get my current MP-1 back from Philippe and test drive it, I'm sure it's gonna be good - then I can send him my HG unit

And congrats on everything going well with your rig  :thumb-up:

Yes me too Iperfungus; currently, dare I say this without a flame suit - in my rig I'm not using any MP-1s because ours currently all suck!
None of them are working right so we are eagerly awaiting the first of the batch we sent to MJMP to return, which coming back to the states should be about 10-14 days.

Hey DjC, if MJMP hasn't finished them already, (I'd) get him to do the new stock tube board and MDRT in at least one of them (noise mod also a very good idea, basically new power supply caps IIRC), will cost a little bit more but IMHO well worth it  :thumb-up: . While he's got it open ....  :dunno: why not get it all done  :thumb-up: .

Very much looking forward to when you have a stable MP1 rack, then we can get on with all the interesting patching stuff  >:D

Yes very good idea for sure Richard!! I'm assuming at that point with the new tube board, MDRT and noise mod wouldn't this make the unit almost new?

Hey DjC, for the most part yes, object being make it as new as you can, and very much the discussion and journey Mike has been on (I think all he has left to do is change all the back jacks (he has them ready to go IIRC, though opp amps is another option  >:D he hasn't gone for (yet)).

Now I can say, I had the privilege of playing through Mikes new and improved MP1 a few months ago at proper volume (drummer in the room (well huge shed in this case)) Using my Epipone SG (Gibson 57 re-issue PUs), man it was the business  :whoohoo!: . (BTW Mike has New Sensor re-issue Mullard Short plate in V1 and a Boogie SPAX7 (jj no doubt) in V2).
