I've been trying to date my MP-1 as well, I've got different numbers. In one place I see "2/87," and others start with 89. But up in the right hand corner, printed on the board reads:

MP-1  2-88
680075
Rev. E
asmbly 780OO2

So I'm not entirely sure about it.
Guitars: Couple Gibsons, Couple Fenders, Couple Kramers, Couple others...
Amps: MP-1, MP-2, B200S, Couple Marshalls

You always have to take the youngest date you can find on the IC's.

The print on the pcb (last pic) doesn't matter for dating the mp-1.

Agreed. Just like trying to date a Fender Stratocaster, always use the newest date code to get the closest final assembly date.
