Safely adjusting "trim-pots"
« on: Time Format »

Hi
I know the topic of trim pots has been discussed before but I cant find out if its safe to adjust the trim pots while the unit is on

I have done a little adjusting but kept turning off and on...etc takes too much time and then i cant remember if there is any difference .Is it safe to adjust while the unit is on ?

One more thing Im looking for as much gain and sustain for my lead sound , looking at the MP-1 front towards me
Im assuming to raise the signal/gain I would turn clock wise ?

Cheers

You can do it with the unit turned on,just be carefull with the high voltage on the tubeboard. And only adjust the OD1 and OD2 trimpots.

Not having done it but clockwise sounds right to me (MJMP or others ??) Anyway you'll hear it as you adjust no doubt.
