Hi guys
My new ADA MP2 have problem... Signal LEDs don't light and the clean presets are saturated, deformed and very much louder than the other presets.
I do the sound check procedure and the preset 12 is totally deformed...
Have you any advice ? I send it to the dealer or can I fix it ?
(the hold user plugged a bass preamp inside... :/  maybe with line level... )

Mmm, lets hope the previous user didn't blow something up, shoving line level into the input wouldn't do it any good I'm sure.  You could try a factory reset (may not fix it but is a place to start (check MP2 manual in MP2 section)) and it will reload all the factory presets and rule out it being the result of any big changes made to the factory patches (as opposed to checking each patch individually).  If the previous owner plugged in a bass (line level or inst level) they would have probably had to do some radical changes to the patches and there will be gain issues all over the shop. Not sure the dealer can help much as there's is no warranty on the old ADA gear these days, depends on the dealer I spose.

yes i think he blow up something in the first stage... because he connected the mp2 after the preamp of the bass system (in the effect loop of the bass amp)
i don t find the procedure to reset the ada in the manual... i mean to return to factory default values for all.

Just use the Preset/User button. This way you switch between user and factory presets.

Or

Copy Presets to User
The factory Preset programs can be reloaded into User programs at any time.
To reload Preset programs:
• Press the "∧" button when the display shows the message "LOAD PRESET PROGRAMS?" The display will ask for confirmation.
• Press the "∧" button to reload the Preset programs or the down arrow to abandon the reload

Thank you but the problem is not with the preset finally. I tested the factory presets. I changed the tubes and nothing changes. I think components are burned...  :-[
It's pity because I was happy to find this very complete preamp

If you like you can ship it to me and i could take a look at it.I'm from belgium.

thank you very much MarshallJMP  :)  but it's too late ... I just return it to its previous owner. I'll look for another in better condition.

Bummer, I hope you kept the new tubes  :???:  With the older MP1s which had a line level input on the back panel he could have got away with it but shoving a volt ore more into the input designed to take milivolts is not a good look  :(  Hope you find a better one soon.
