New Sensor Mullard 12AX7 tubes
« on: Time Format »

As there is no Valve thread yet I thought I'd start one.
I put the New Sensor Mullard 12 AX7s' in both my MP2s' and am very pleased with the result.  They are a very 3D tube (which I really didn't understand before I tried these).  Every subtle change to the way I'm fretting a note can be clearly heard, amazing.
From the previous forum, one of the members put them in his MP1 and liked the results also.
So highly recommended for your next valve change
Cheers Richard

Might have to check them out. I've tried just about every tube out there. My personal favorite, MESA SPAX 7. Just put them in a few months ago. Gotta say I think they increased the gain yet cleaned it up if that makes sense. Also not nearly as noisy as before.

I like the MESA STRs in a MP1.  I tried a pair in my MP2, I liked them a lot, good tight gain, fantastic feedback (very smooth) but they broke up a bit on the bottom E so I tried the Mullards and fell in love with them, quite a different tube to the STRs and well worth a try in either MP2 or MP1.
