A friend has one of each of these never seen by me before ADA Tritube 75 and Tritube 150 amps! Are they super collectable because they are so rare? I can't even find a demo of either amp on youtube...
What should I pay for each? What are they worth?
Does anyone hear own one or have a video of either amp.
Dude, they're crap, just send them to me  I'm just kiddin you man
They are rarer than hen's teeth - especially if they're in good shape. Oh, and I want you to sell one to me after you buy them both :poop:
Good luck!!
They are in very good shape except for a little tolex tears at the bottom of the 75 unit....Any idea on what would be a fair price for the Tritube 75?
Can someone post pics of this amps? Never heard of them before.
I honestly have no idea what they're worth, but I sure would LOVE to have a Tritube 75 - who cares about the tolex?
The attached pic is literally the only one I could find. Hey DBjacobson2112, could you snap a few pics of yours for posterity?
BTW: There's a QuadTube on Ebay right now, with the Rack Holster, Footswitch, and manual. I snagged all the pics of that one to post in here later. :thumb-up:

Actually it's a combo version of the mp-2,altough there are some small differences.
First difference I noticed was one speaker..
I got the Tritube 75. I will make a youtube demo over the next week. Thnaks for sharing the Manual!
Also, I will take many pix fo everyone for posterity.... The weirdist thing about these amps [to me] is that I have never heard of them at all! I have owned various MP-1s over the years And I have all the Guitar Player, Guitar World, GFTPM magazines going back to 1990 and don't ever recall even an Advertisement for them.

There's also the M150 quadtube which is 2 x 75W and .... 2 speakers.Just do a search for ADA quadtube, you will find some pics and info about these.
I just picked up a mint Tritube 75m off Craigslist earlier today. It however didn't come with anything aside from a printed copy of the manual. I'm trying to track down the rack holster that goes with it. I will say that its as if my mp-2, mt200 and Ada 1x12 cab where mashed into 1. Well worth the $550 I plunked down for it!!
What is the need for a rack holder?and did yours come with a midi controller? I just bought my Tritube 75 last week and I am waiting for an ADA MPC controller I bought off ebay - which should be here tomorrow....
I guess its more about wanting to get the accessories that originally shipped with it. Although if I did have it I'd pick up another identical effects unit to the one I have in my rack. Then I could duplicate my rig 100% in a smaller footprint when needed.
I own an ADA Tritube 75 and then just rec'd an ADA MPC Midi Controller off eBay which I rec'd today. I connected the MPC to the amp using a 7 pin phantom power midi cable. Unfortunately, the display isn't working correctly. It says ADA then starts blinking but when I step on various number switches it never settles on a number
I made a short 1 minute video of what the display does when powered up.

Before I send the MPC back to the eBay seller, any idea what is causing this issue - is it a power problem from the Amp or the 7 pin midi cable [which has worked fine in the past] or an MPC issue?
I have not tried a power supply yet.... Can a typical Boss PSA 120S 9 volt adapter work or does the MPC have some sort of opposite polarity on it's 9 volt adapters? [Always aware of these small details that can toast transistors etc]
Thanks for your help,
Doug
I have a quadtube that originally included the 2x12 speakers but was hacked up into a head by the time I purchased it. The Quadtube straight up IS an MP-2 and that's how I use it now because some internal fuse (must be the power amp section) keeps blowing so I run the 1/4 outputs into my B200s into my GFlex 2x12. This setup gives me a great live tone but you can get that exact tone from an MP-2 and actually a better tone if you run an MP-2 into a tube power amp like a Marshall Dual Monobloc. Here's a live video of me playing a 7-string -> EMG 707 -> Quadtube as a head before the internal fuse kept blowing up -> GFlex 2x12. The video doesn't do its tone justice as the volume could've been louder and the acoustics of the club could've been better but it definitely sounds mean.

I went to a local electronics store and bought one of those multi adapter that let u choose Volts and polarity and bingo the unit works fine... and it swithces all like it should on my Tritube amp! so, probloem solved - I used the amp at last nites gig, and while the cleans were perfect - I felt that the over drives did NOT cut thru the mix, kinda too processed like the way Line 6 amps sound awesome in your house alone, but don't cut thru the mix when playing live... Now my next major question is: Is there a post or thread here for MP-2 settings? or even better, people's etting for the tritube amps?
I have the same problem with a lot of my MP-2 settings, you really need to coax it out. Some of my over-the-top gain patches still sound like they're getting lost in the mix, but without them, the mix is empty.
Yes, there are plenty of MP-2 patches in the MP-2 section (http://adadepot.com/index.php?board=30.0), several of which are mine.
Enjoy! :thumb-up:
my ADA Tritube 75 makes no sound when I attach external cabinets [tried different cabs and different cables that I know work well....
Is there something in the amp itself that I need to switch to turn the external speaker-out jack to send the feed?
From what i can tell in the manual there is no external speaker out, there is however a preamp output, but you need to connect that to a power amp and speaker. So the question is where did you hookup that speaker?
BTW does anyone have the schematics of the tribute 75,i only seem to have the quadtube schematics ( tribute 150).
I see what u mean... it is a 'RECORDING OUT' jack which in theory would have very little natural volume and would need to be sent into another amp head or powered PA head/board. I will try this at my next gig..... I used the Tritube 75 for my last 2 gigs, and while the chorusy cleans were awesome I felt the overdrives [Alex patch and Blackened patch] really getting lost in the mix.....
Will let u know how that plays out.
I'm familiar with the "Black" patch, not as much with the "Alex" patch but I know "black" has the mids scooped like crazy - a huge dip in 800hz - and I understand it sounds awesome in the bedroom but gets lost in the gig. I've never used the "black" patch live due to its lack of mids. I used it on a recording where I double-tracked the guitars with a midrangey Slayer-ish tone in the left speaker and "black" on the right speaker. When I first recorded my recent album, I used black and panned it dead center. It sounded cool but the clarity wasn't there so I panned it 100% right and took a second midrangey tone and panned it 100% left. The two tones fit together great. Even so, both guitars registered about the same db level but the midrangey guitar still sounded louder. Moral of the story - definitely add some midrange because I'm pretty sure "Alex" is scooped as well.

As MJMP says, the recording out will be line level designed to go into a poweramp > speaker or into a desk/PA, question is is the recording out cab simulated, coz if it's not cab simulated (MP2s have cab sim outs), then you need poweramp > guitar speaker, if it is, you need desk/PA or pweramp > PA speaker. Since this is pretty much an MP2 mounted in a combo set up ?.... The record out(s is there 1 or 2 ?) are likely to be cab simulated, that said it's easy to find out, if when you pug it through desk/PA it sounds way too bright/toppy it's not been cab sim'd and better to go power amp > guitar cab (if it sounds a bit dull no tops through guitar cabs, then it's probably cab sim'd).
To cut through a live mix, try adding presence (it's a 6khz boost), and also, if your MP2 has the room eq knob ? turn up for more mids and cut, turn down to sound bassy, this control changes the sound quite a bit, helps (designed to) adapt to different stage acoustics e.g. live surfaces, toppy, lots of polished things (turn down), to muffled carpeted/sound proofed (turn up)
Thanks guys, great advice.
No worries, hope it helps
