Try this dirty patch:
V = Dist.
6.5 / 5.4 / 2.3 / 4 / -4 / 2 / 4 / 7.0 / OFF / IN

or...
Voicing=Distortion
OD1/OD2/Master = 6.5/5.4/2.3
Bass/Mid/Treb/Pres = 4/-4/2/4
Gate = t 7.0
Cho = OFF
FX Loop = In

yes, a very good example of how to tweak for good tones (crank od's a bit and lower master to keep things managed)

Dante, do I smell your love for the Fender Blackface amp in this patch?
I never had or tried the Classic, but the settings more than indicates this to me ;)

Haha! I forgot about this thread, but I'm sure most (if not all) of my patches have since changed.

I will be happy to put some in here, with my usual disclaimer about guitar construction, amps, and speakers affecting the tones.

Okay, here is my classic rock dirty rhythm patch for my cover band, using my go-to axe (a mahogany body w/maple cap = my Lester) with a set of Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB pickups. This works great for open chords ala Highway to Hell

Voicing: Brown
OD1: 6.0
OD2: 9.0
Master: 7.2

Bass: 6
Mid: -2
Treb: -2
Pres: 2

Gate: t=2.8
Chorus: off*

*I can turn the chorus on/off with my Quad switch & the MXC pedal

This patch is pretty dry on fx, just a bit of reverb....again, I can summon the delay, a boost, and a couple other fx via the quad switch

====================
Here's a more modern dirt patch for the same guitar:

Voicing: Dist
OD1: 7.6
OD2: 6.5
Master: 6.8

Bass:12
Mid: -8
Treb: 0
Pres: 6

Gate: t=2.8
Choru: off*

===================

And here's a METAL patch for that guitar  :banana-rock: :metal:

Voicing: Brown
OD1: 9.0
OD2: 9.0
Master: 7.7

Bass: 8.0
Mid: -10
Treb: -2
Pres: 4

Same settings for gate & chorus

=================
DISCLAIMER
=================
Your results may vary depending on:

Guitar construction
Your amp
Your speakers
Your inability to strike cheesy poses while butchering trademark riffs that EVERYONE recognizes

Chorus: off*

CLEAN AND WET
+++++++++++
Voicing: Brown
OD1: 6.0
OD2: 5.5
Master: 8.5

Bass: 4
Mid: 0
Treb: 0
Pres: 0

Gate: t=5.0
Chorus: on (depth = 78 / rate = 0.3)

Here are some updated patches; let's see how much they have changed. It should be noted that I use a different bank of patches for each guitar. I do this because I'm looking for 'my tone' with all kinds of different woods, different pickups etc. I am using the same bank of patches for all these examples, in the interest of consistency.

================
Classic Rock tone:
================
Voice: Brown
OD1: 6.0
OD2: 7.5
Master: 7.2

Bass: 6
Mid: 0
Treb: 0
Pres: -4

Gate: in, thresh: 9.5

Cho: off (I toggle this on/off in my GX-700 with my quad switch)

=================
Modern Rock tone:
=================
Voice: Dist
OD1: 6.0
OD2: 6.0
Master: 7.3

Bass: 10
Mid: -6
Treb: -2
Pres: 0

Gate: in, thresh: 9.5

Cho: off (I toggle this on/off in my GX-700 with my quad switch)
