Title: help removing chassis on marshall jcm 900 mkiii 2502
Post by: Chamai on June 26, 2016, 10:54:42 PM
hey guys.

sorry for being a newbie at everything.

i am trying to get the chassis out of my jcm 900 mkiii combo.

i removed the 4 screws that's holding the chassis but i can't seem to put it out.

i got a flash light to see the gap and it seems like there is a thin metal plate thats preventing me from sliding the chasis out. are there more screws or parts that needs to be removed?

thanks guys

The chassis is only held up by 4 screws and that plate can be troublesome sometimes. In a combo it's stapled on the top of the combo (in head on the bottom) and it's there to prevent noise coming into the amp. Now sometimes this plate come loose or get bend a bit and then it can be a pain in the *** to get the chassis out. So you will need to use your imagination to get it out.
