MP-1 midi cable
« on: Time Format »

How long can I run the midi cable with and without phantom power?

I would like to double the standard length.
Before I buy an adapter, has anyone done this?

I use a 30 ft cable with no issues.  How long is your current cable?  It would be best to replace it with the longest you can find; the added connectors with an extension cable would be a potential reliability problem.

According to the midi specs a midi cable can be max 15 m or 50 ft.But this is with high quality cables.
