OK.  I figured it out.  I tested the output at the FX send, and at the headphone out, all three were the same.  Then I put the pad on my IR loader, attached the regular output, and then pinned all three units with the same preset.  Wide open, they’re identical in output.  The difference has to be the taper of the output pot (LOG instead of LIN).  When I did the first test, I clearly didn’t test properly.  Anyway, it’s probably not urgent for me to replace the pot with a linear for now.  It works right; I just have to turn the knob a little further to the right, and I’ve never been shy about doing that!  :)

Hi,

The other day I turned on my Microtube and white smoke started coming out of it.
I turned it off immediately & disconnected it.  It has been a while since I used it.

I hope it is repairable.  Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Thanks
Tom

You're not kidding shipping isn't cheap for him!

I wonder if he's shipping with East India Trading Co.

He says he has multiple cabs but shipping ain't cheap. Looks like he has the more rare straight cab, at least one.

I'm in Tennessee and have a split stack I might sell soon, along with the T100S tube power amp.

There is another thing you can do if you have a meter that can measure current. You just take out the fuse and set the meter to ac current put the red in the current connection and put the red on one side of the fuse holder and the black on the other. This way you can measure the current. Best is to use crocodile klamps. If you want I can do a setup and take a pic so you see what you need to do.

Or use something like this

I already mailed him these, I sold TTP a resistor kit for it after he checked to make sure it wasn't already done.
Cool  :thumb-up: , I need to check my MB-1s', I may need a couple of resistor kits as well  :dunno:
