New House - Rig Pics
« on: Time Format »

So with much pain (and allot of help from MikeB) I had to move house after 10 years . So I'm in the new rental, and after (quite a few glasses of whisky) I set up part of my studio system (1st Sat-Sun night), and the next week I decided to set up all the rest of my gear (minus what's at Mikes still), if I fire this up properly, my neighbors will no doubt revolt LoL

Hwy Max, mmm good question, the way I've currently patched it is:
Live rack (MP2, MB1, Quadverb, Midiverb4, DCM200L, Desk) > 2 outside split stacks
Marshall 50 > powersoak > single split stack
MP2, MB1, TC MoneXL > Studio desk, subgroups 3&4 > B200s > Mesa P112s
The MP2 and MP1 (both US models) above the B200s are not patched.  At some point I'll probably run the MP1 into the Marshall (bottom right input has been rewired as a line in direct to the phase splitter (aka how MJMP runs his)).  I had to put the rack with the US MP2 & MP1 & B200s in between the studio rig and cabs due to lead length.  Also I haven't wired up the EV 3 way TL yet.  When I get my TS100 and DCM 2004L back I'll work it in.

sir, i want those ADA cabs.

Check out Guitar Center's USED Gear section, there are at least three of those split stack cabs in there right now. Two of which are under $140 each.

Good luck!!

There are some split stacks on "music go round" as well. Don't know if they ship to Canada though?

Hey Chamai, the outside pair (with ADA labels) were made here in Australia under license, I had them loaded with 90w 8 ohm Boogie Celestions when I bought them as I wanted 2 x 4 ohm cabs to go with my B200s.  The other one was US made but has 2 x 75 w 16 ohm Celestions, I rewired it to be stereo or mono so I had a one cab transport option (I picked that one up in a pawn shop for $175 AUD).  The 2 Messa P112s are great cabs, I initially bought them for bass but they work really well with MP2 using cab sim outs and they also handle vocals quite well.

Unfortunately speaker cabs are expensive to ship (large and heavy  ).  I had the 15" in the EV 3 way TL re-coned a while ago, cost $400 AUD and allot of that was shipping, I had to send it off to EV authorised repair as they stopped selling re-cone kits to the public.

Hopefully you can find some near where you live  :dunno: , otherwise the shipping will be expensive and possibly a deal breaker.

I think I came across one. If some was a selling a pair. I will pick them up right away. But buying some g12t75s to replace the original ada stack speakers can get expensive. I might be better off just picking up 2 ,4x12 Marshall stacks.

The 3rd one I bought had the 75 w Celestions in it already, I don't know it's history, but someone had dicked with it, the speaker screws on one of the speakers were the screws used to hold the front grill (well some of them, go figure  ), so I bought proper screws and rewired the box to be stereo or mono.

2 x Marshall 4 x 12 or even 1 x Marshall 4 x 12 wired stereo is reasonable option.
