Yup, Dieter is a great guy, knows his stuff; I know him from when I proof read his manual for the PPC210 S/DISH module for the Digitech TSR-21S (same module as for the GSP-21xx series).  Hehe, I was the first to get and test the module for the TSR-24 ;)
BTW, the original Digitech PPC210 could introduce an erratic behaviour in rare cases; Dieter fixed this in his own version. It's somewhere in his docs on the site.
