Wow snakeskin boots  :o nice!

Checked out the scorpions revisited and he played it al perfectly, just didn't like the guitar sound. That used to be a lot better.
The singer is also very good but on some songs his voice doesn't fit the music. He sings too good sometimes. But good cd overall.A keeper.

Good news, I'm pleased you gave it a listen. I guess there's some 40 years between the original versions and the revisited versions ...

Tomy, those boots are cool.  We need more of that sort of thing these days if I am honest.  I mean currently we have f**king assholes like Justin Beiber and Jay Z'd (see what I did there?) setting trends.

If some guy came up to me and said which is cooler, snake skin boots wins by 3 miles! Not just one :)

I will check out early Scorpions.  Pre metal music?  Oh shit, that sort of comment can stir up an awwwwful lot of shit talk about "when did metal start? who started it?" and we don't wanna go down that route  :thumb-up:

Well I'll check them out if you check out Mactep from my earlier posts!  Brush up on your Russian though before you do!

Well i D&I comes second place,Tales is a bit better, more raw.But a very original band, and an unusual guitar sound for a trash band.

Hey Kim do you know Blessed Death? Also a real good band.

Ah Hallows Eve,

we've discussed them on this thread before, newish to me but I'm into them, have the first two albums.

Exhumer, they are ok, didn't blow me away enough to buy their stuff, but I have checked out their first two albums.

I nearly went on tour in Germany with them last year but they pulled out or something and it got canceled.

Blessed Death and Angel Dust I think I happened upon them before but I can't remember them.  I shall check out again.

I've been tidying up the attic space today, came across a box full of my old LPs and cassette tapes from when I was much younger. Lots of Sabbath, Purple, Zeppelin, Rush, UFO, Floyd, and even some Hawkwind. I've brought a few of them downstairs to listen to for nostalgia ...

Sabbath: Technical Ecstacy
Gillan: Double Trouble
Krokus: Metal Rendezvous
Priest: Sin After Sin
Rush: All The World's A Stage
Rainbow: Rising
Ozzy: Diary Of A Madman

Rainbow - Rising  was the first vinyl I ever owned!  Definitely one of my "Top 10" albums to have, absolutely love it front to back.

I must admit Rainbow Rising is one of my favourite albums, it was a pleasure to listen to it again ... I've always liked the intro part that leads into Tarot Woman at the start of the album, gets me every time :thumb-up:

Note To Myself - there was definitely some odd stuff in the box of nostalgia that I'd completely forgotten about ... Dillinger - Marijuana in My Brain ... what was going on there? I don't remember buying it, perhaps I borrowed it? :amaze:
