Hey 2handband, that topic came up quite a while ago now, if you search around here there are posts on the topic. Did we come up with a solution  :dunno: , maybe, MJMP may remember better  :dunno: .
So the compressor is the first thing in the signal path, then Wah, then tubes...(so if it plays up, no signal..
One (tripped over) work around (for me with 1 of my MP2s) was leave the MP-2 on a patch that includes compressor (for me it was my main clean patch) when you power it down, then when you boot it returns to this patch and seems to work ok .... But that's not fixing the problem. Some of the topic back then was also about how some units take 10-15 mins to warm up and clear (start working properly) IIRC.

Now that MP-2 is behaving these days, I didn't do anything to the compressor circuit but I did change the screen and do the noise mod (21 caps...etc). And I did have to re-seat the ribbon cable (easy to dislodge doing the screen upgrade  ).

Yeah, I was here about a year ago poking around those threads. Never saw a clear-cut solution. I was wondering if anyone had come up with anything in the interim. My MP-2 is running fine except I can't use the compressor which is annoying as hell.

Does it work after a while or does it not work at all?

If the compressor is on at all there is almost no sound... I have to crank it way up to hear anything.

So it won't work after let's say 30 minutes?

I'll try leaving it on tomorrow and see if it changes anything.
