Turn pre/power amp into combo
« on: Time Format »

So I started building my own 2x12 cab and since my mind started wandering and I was thinking that I could turn my second mp-1 into a combo amp.

I know someone on the old depot did something of the kind but my knowledge in electronic is close to nothing, so can't quite figure out how to do it by myself.

Maybe try and extend your cabinet to have a few rack spaces at the top , and then standard mount the pre and poweramp , for an all in one unit  ...

Some other technical masters on here may have a better suggestion though lol  !

Bats suggestion is the easiest, if you include say 3 or 4 RU spaces at the top of the box and mount the MP-1, rack effect, 1 or 2 RU poweramp, make sure enough air/ventilation can get to the gear.
