Today I was mucking around with my gear, including my Carvin TS100 (have it set on the 50 watt channel due to the fact you cannot run this in bridged mode (it's half broken)) and as usual, I had the thing cranked up and let my MP-1 control the volume.
I decided "You know what, I like it loud and have never really heard this things true power..." and cranked everything up all the way. I had a guitar stand that sits in front of my two 4x12s (the sit one on top of the other), one marshall 1960a loaded with celestian g-12t75s, and the other a bugera 4x12 with vintage 30 type clones in them (they sound alright...)....
The stand fell over.
The stand literally just fell over, onto the ground. It's VERY study, and never falls over if you bump it.
The walls in my basement shook violently, pictures were tilted, lighting fixtures rattled, a ceiling panel shook loose a bit, and shit fell off every shelf near the amp.
For anyone asking "Is a 50 watt amp loud enough for a gig?", my answer is; Hell yes. More than loud enough.
