Title: Poweramp for MB-1
Post by: bcklndt on June 14, 2020, 11:58:33 AM
Hi ..
I’m looking for a poweramp to go nicely with my MB-1.
Would kinda prefer a B500B but those are hard to find ..
A nice simple mono tube poweramp would be nice too.
It also doesn’t need to be that loud .. 100watt at 4ohm is already ok.
My cabinet is a 90’s Ampeg SVT18 .. I play trebly sounds and fuzz face too, the 18” makes sure I don’t get all this annoying high frequency noise that you get with 10” speakers ..

Any suggestions or experiences with poweramps for a MB-1 are more than welcome. ✌️

Any 'of the shelve' PA amp with a bridge/mono will suffice.

I run my MB1s in stereo, as in mono to a mixer and then add some stereo delay & reverb (TC MOne).  In my studio rig I use a B200S into 2 x Boogie P112s, Live rig (Quad verb) has a Carvin DCM 200L again into the P112s.  And you've found a B500B, see email  :thumb-up: .
