Solid State compression

there's a way to reduce the amount of compression in addition to od2 adjustment?

Something like a trim pot or similar

Been a looong time since my MP1 days, so beware..
I assume you're talking about clean/solidstate mode with compressor.
And that you find the compressor is too much in the direction of, say, a Red Box comp.

To my knowledge this isn't really adjustable per software, but it should be possible to increase the value of the resistor that controls the compression ratio.
Sorry, don't remember this particular setup; will have to poke the schematics..

Yes, clean/solid state modes.

Hoped there was like a trim pot to determinate the limits in which OD2 operates.

Acting on the resistor could be a way, but more difficult: I don't think to have the skills to do it.

Do I assume correct that you don't like the compressor having a quite felt compression knee, i.e. always a Bit of 'whumpf' effect to it, but would rather have a more smooth, soft-knee, sustainor-like compression?

Basicly in this moment I'd like to get a "real" guitar sound and the possibility to add the compression if needed.
For me this compression is "too much" and also decreasing the value of OD2 it's difficult to have the suond I need: on the low string, sometime, it seems "fake"

I read you.  I currently have no time to go poke schematics, though.  Will do when time allows.

My best advice is, if you aren't using the send/return loop, put a soft-knee compressor/sustainor in there.
This compression/sustain will be done posterior to distortion; the effect will be that your distortions will sound natural, and when dying out, tone will continue sounding fat, just less and less distorted.

Your cleans won't differ that much whether compression is added pre or post the preamp.

Umnn.. hopefully I remember correct WRT the MP1 loop being programmable on/off..
