Always replace the CapaciTators when buying old gear

bunkyloo

Holy crap that's so funny!!

I feel bad,  I've only ever replaced old caps on one MP1 and it was because I did the noise mod and MDRT install.

Would I notice any benefits if I did it in other bits of gear?

If you use tater tots, yes... you will definitely notice a huge difference

Yup, Kim's approach is the way to go; Turbo Charging of course even better!
Not sure Black Gate capacitors are produced anymore, pity if so, cuz those were the real deal when considering Expensive Snake Oil..

Anyways.. I've always urged to replace any and all electrolytic caps in any older electronics.
Love those cap pics, Dante.  Delicious, like mini-candyfloss on steroids. Yummy ;)
