Title: Rocktron MidiMate
Post by: Peter H. Boer on February 27, 2016, 07:00:25 AM
Hey guys,

The controller I've been using since I bought the MB-1 is the Rocktron MidiMate.
Hasn't let me down ever.
I love the fact that the presets can send out 6 different programm changes on 6 different midi channels at 1 push of a button.
Saves me the hassle of midimapping.
Also nice is that you have a 8 digit screen for preset name.

As usual I modded some, but this unit only 1 thing:
I added a 7-pin XLR output, because I hate flimsy connectors on stage (especially on the floor, near the edge of the stage)

I may end up purchasing a MidiMate, too.    The price is good, and it has the expression thing I want.
That XLR Mod is a neat idea as well.   :thumb-up:

Yes it has.
You can use banks of 5 presets with 5 cc switches and an expression pedal
Or use banks of 10 prests and an expression pedal
Or use direct access to 100 presets (but you always have to press 2 buttons) and an expression pedal.

I use mine in the second mode, so do not use the CC, but I have used the expressionpedal a lot of times.
