Title: Analogue <> Digital recording
Post by: rnolan on December 15, 2022, 11:28:44 PM
Here's a (analog) track (Die Young) I wrote about a young friend who died in a motor bike accident.

Recorded with Tascam 688 cassette 8 track.  The drums are Alesis SR-16 I think, I used a rockman X100 for the guitars, bass direct and vocals were SM58.  Recorded in a small(ish) bedroom back in the early 90's

Here's a much later track (digital), during Iraq war (hence Bush and his bombers lyric) but still seems pertinent today with Vlad the impalers war on Ukraine  .

Recorded in my lounge room with Pro Tools running on Win98.  Drums are Yamaha electric kit, electric guitar MP-2 direct cab sim outs, I think the vox were Rode NT-1.
