Anyone knowledgeable on analog reverbs?

I'd prefer programmable, but this is less important.
What is important is a reverb sounding 'just right' for guitar when no big stadium reverb, cathedral, refrigerator, bathroom or three mile tunnel is wanted :lol: but just something akin to a good spring or mid-sized plate medium room, IUGMD..

I'll want something not too large, so no 19". Basically, it should fit under my MP-2, behind my Lexicon Vortex, which is a mere 10 cm / 4" deep + angled jacks.

As far as I know there are only 2 types of analog reverb, that's a plate and spring reverb. Plate reverbs are big so that's a no go for you (even if you can find them).So that only leaves a spring reverb which is also quite big. If I remember correctly peavy made a 19" rack version (and with tubes I think) called a valveverb or something like that.

There's also room reverb (or reverb rooms) even bigger than a plate LoL.  Didn't anyone make a bucket brigade reverb way back ?  I don't remember, most amps had spring reverb which sound awesome when you bash the amp (e.g. the end of DP highway star).

Yeah, I've looked into these pedals, including the Strymon BigSky, and, as I just wrote in my harmonizer thread, reached the conclusion the keep my TSR-24S.

If anything, I just might build an old-school spring reverb box, which can easily be housed behind my Lexicon Vortex (only 10 cm deep).

Well if you wanted to go down the true spring reverb route there are the Danelectro Spring Thing and the Van Amps Reverbamate. Either way the self build will be cheaper than your best options.
