Well, anyhow, just for the backing track/work template, sound quality is irrelevant...

It's only used as a guide... We solo on top of it, save the actual solo in .wav and send it to whoever is mixing the project.
That person will be using the high quality backing track for the final mix of course...   8)
EMGs suck my energies.

Correct.

As usual, send the solo 'only' in .wav, and an mp3 with your solo in the backing track (for reference).

Ahhh, cool, well you have my solo...  :thumb-up: but what if they don't want to solo, I spose just send the part in .wav.
Hey Peter, how's the upgrade going ?

If somebody is doing a rhythm part or keys or whatever, then I need that part in .wav of course.  :metal:

OK guys I´ve got parts to shred over  C:-)
Parts are in simple mp3

Record your solo part in .wav though (44.1Hz/16bit or 44.1Hz/24bit)
When you finished send me the solo separate in .wav
And an mp3 of your solo mixed in the backing, so I have an idea of where I need to fit it in

Parts available:
An intro part (only 1 available of course)
A verse part
A Bridge part
An 8-bar solo part
And an ending solo part (again only 1 available of course)

If somebody can give me a list and email addresses of people that need to shred on which part, I'll send them out.
If someone wants to play rhythm pig let me know also, I'll have to make a backing with and without rhythm guitars then.
If someone wants to do vocals, also let me know.

Can you post the mp-3 so we can hear it?A bit difficult to choose without hearing it?

Peter H. Boer

Hey, MJMP,

Richard already did that on the 1st page of this thread. O0

Peter and I are slicing and dicing one of my songs for everyone to have a crack at, I'm attempting to send him the files as there are 9 @ 40MB each.  He's going to slice and dice it to suit various needs, you can get a version no doubt to put some lyrics on.  The song is called Little Memory, it's kind of about my son who was borne but unfortunately not alive so in some ways maybe appropriate for Jur as in the anguish/loss I'm sure we all feel, my tail end solo for example...
Anyway hopefully you guys will like it to play to, it's in A 440hz
I've attached a squished MP3 so you can hear it, hope it's something you guys want to play on...

Hey MJMP, you can also import the drums (L/R) and my guitar (L/R) into a stereo track each, I'm pretty sure Cuebase can do that.  Protools stores a stereo tracks audio files as 2 separate files (as are these as they were recorded stereo to a stereo track). I don't know for sure (Peter?) but I suspect Cuebase does the same. Oh and they are 48khz 24bit BTW  :whoohoo!:
