Hello again....sorry to trouble anyone with my desperate pursuit of a MIDI footswitch for my MP-1. I have never seen this before: https://reverb.com/item/42019-ada-mxc-quad-switch-and-continous-controller-pedals
Will this work with the MP-1 or is it overkill? It would be great to have a volume pedal for the MP-1. Thank y'all.
Hey VoxG2,
The MP-1 doesn't have Real Time MIDI, so that won't work that way with it. It would only do standard program changes with that footswitch, so yes it would be an overkill pedal for that preamp.

Thanks man!! I see people use that Behringer FC1010. Can you use the two volume like pedals for Volume and Chorus Level on the MP-1? Does that fall under real time midi?
Hi VoxG2,
I have just responded to your pm, but I will repeat it here for the benefit of others. Controlling volume and chorus level does count as real time midi (aka CC - continuous control) so it won't work with the mp1.
Mike
Thank you sir!!
The MXC, Quad Switch, and CCP were designed for use with the MP-2.
This is the only preamp ADA made with Continuous Control features in it.
For the MP-1 and MP-1 Classic, The MC-1 and MPX are right at their level. They only respond to MIDI program change commands, and that is what these pedals do.

Right on man...thank you!
Hey Harley, you forgot the MB-1 which also has midi control change 8)
The MXC isn't overkill if you also use an fx unit that has midi control change capabilities.I also use the MXC with an mp-1 and the control change is use with my TC G-force and my rocktron patchmate.
Hey MJMP,
Until recently, I didn't know the MB-1 had that, but I haven't done much with my MB-1. Until I get another bass guitar, it's not really a priority for me. I have too many other things going on right now.
