....so...by "popular demand" or more cuz triggered from recent rants posts, I dusted off my 3TM, hooked it up (4cm) to my Lex MPX-G2 and Boogie 2:90 and recorded through 2 Mesa Cab Clones.
The backing track is from the web (http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/play/skid_row/18_and_life_(2).htm), I tracked single (Stereo) and no post shizzle or else....
Just some Chorus and Delay from the G2 and the 3TM set to my likings.....
The 2:90 was set to Deep....

Good playing, good sound just missing a bit delay/reverb?It's a bit dry compared to the original solo(IMHO).But for the rest nicely done!!

Systematic Chaos

It´s just a faint 460ms with 2rpts....
I also forgot to mention that I messed bit with the original EQ in the MP-1 circuit back when I modded it.... But dunno exactly what it was...just to smooth out the sound

MarshallJMP

Just listened to the original and maybe it's because it's panned on the left side but again well played. This is one of my favorite Skid Row solo's.

Hey SC, Nice !!!  :thumb-up: great tone and phrasing, FX wise I thought it stood on it's merits (just enough, not too ostentatious IMO)  anyway, to me it was singing (big time).
So which guitar etc PUs etc do tell LoL.

Very nice!  Could you share the 3TM settings you used?  Also, what tubes do you have in your 3TM?  Thanks!

Systematic Chaos

I used my ESP MII-Dlx (with 90s Jackson Dinky Rev Professional neck, quarter sawn maple with Rosewood fretboard), alder body, DiMarzio CrunchLab bridge and AirNorton S neck pups.....

Tubes in the 3TM are 1 TAD 12AX7A-C and 2 NOS Blackburn Mullard ECC83.
OD1: 6
OD2: 7
Bass: -4
Mids: -2
Treb: +2
Pres: 0

The Simul 2:90 had "Deep" engaged and the Cab Clones were 16ohm version, both in the "Vintage Cabinet" setting

Great sound and great playing! Ya know, hearing amazing stuff like this makes me ashamed to post any clips here, even simple sound demos.
