Witch Mountain opened the show for The Skull (Trouble) and Saint Vitus with this song.  And I was able to meet all four members and chat them up a bit afterwards.   :metal:  Super cool people.

I also own this album and I also enjoy Tim Ripper Owens.  I had the pleasure of playing with the man 2 years ago.  My only gripe with Priest then is the downtuned the songs.  I don't care what anyone say's, the older songs should be played in the same key as they are on the albums.  They still do it today but I think it's because Halford has lost his range (although still a good singer none the less).

Owens is a great singer and has went on to do some amazing work with Malmsteen and Iced Earth and his own band.

I'm listening to Judas Priest Painkiller this week.  An album I liked, but never loved.  Now I'm enjoying it a little more than I used to which is great!

I listen this everyday  :thumb-up: . One of the best bands for me, but sadly they're underrated in my opinion.

Going in a completely different direction...  When I first started playing lead guitar, the one guitarist that really spoke to me, the one that I wanted to play like more than anyone else, was Johnny Winter.  I haven't listened to any of his work in a while, so I pulled up a couple of tunes on YouTube, and reminded myself that I *still* wish I could play like him!  :)

Johnny Winter was one of my earliest influences on the guitar, right there with Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. My first dose of Winter that really made an impression on me at that young age, was "Johnny Winter And, LIVE!."
I played that record so much learning the songs on there that really knocked me out, that I literally wore the grooves off the album! The power and the energy of that album showed me just how the guitar could hit you like an atom b*mb. So I have to give credit to Johnny for turning me on to Chuck Berry and the Rolling Stones. I never had any desire to play Johnny B Goode, or Jumping Jack Flash until I heard the way he did it.
